Kaneri & Hineri

In a Japanese fishhook,
one of forms has　"hineri."
It, the needle tip is bent slightly to the right.

When a needle runs by into the mouth of a fish,
when the needle point has bent, it may be hooking easily.

The origin of a word of language is unknown.

"kaneri" = "Reversed"
